How do HeatPaxx und HPXfresh products work?

How do HeatPaxx® activated charcoal warmers work?
Activated charcoal warmers mainly contain the following natural components:
• Iron powder: 40% - 60%
• Activated charcoal: 2% - 6%
• Water: 20% - 30%
• Salt: 1% - 3%.
These components are enclosed in a soft and air-permeable membrane. When the warmers are taken out of the packaging, these components react with the oxygen penetrating through the membrane: oxidation is initiated, releasing heat. The intensity and duration of the heat development are regulated by the amount of oxygen provided and the amount of reacting material. The membranes of foot warmers and toe warmers, for example, are designed to function in low-oxygen environments and can therefore be used in shoes.

What makes HeatPaxx® and Original MyCoal activated charcoal warmers special?
- Natural heat development: Several hours of warmth for heat therapy or just for comfort. You get warmth exactly where you need it.
- The heat is activated by air alone and is based on the natural and safe process of iron powder oxidation (rapid rusting). No batteries are needed.
- Many application possibilities thanks to various innovative product variants: hand warmers, foot warmers, insole warmers, heat patches, back warmers, shoulder warmers, and knee warmers.
- The small size and light weight of the warmers make them your perfect companion and they are always discreetly ready for use: open the packaging and enjoy the warmth. While warmers have been an everyday convenience in Japan for many years, more and more people here are discovering the advantages of these wonderful heat sources.
- The highest quality standards are a given for HeatPaxx® and Original MyCoal activated charcoal warmers. The warmers are produced and tested under strict control in China and Japan. We at HeatPack.de are convinced of these warmers and are pleased to offer you these great products.
- The continuity and consistency of the HeatPaxx® and Original MyCoal brands are a guarantee of consistently good quality at the best prices for you as a customer and for us as a retailer. Here, you know what you are getting.
Which warmer is best for me: HeatPaxx®, Original MyCoal®, or perhaps Warmpack, Thermopad, and others?
- With HeatPaxx® warmers, you are always on the right side. When we started selling warmers in the early years, there was no real alternative to the somewhat more expensive Japanese warmers from MyCoal. Products from China and Korea were affordable, but still in their infancy in terms of quality compared to Japanese warmers.
- The special thing about HeatPaxx® warmers produced in China is that the production is subject to permanent quality control and long-term, continuous interaction with the production area ensures high quality. This allows us to offer you a competitively priced product range.
- Many other suppliers frequently change production sites in search of the lowest purchase price – few are directly on site during production. Therefore, as a customer, you never know exactly what quality level you are getting and what working conditions prevail.
- Original MyCoal® warmers are manufactured in Japan. While the qualitative difference compared to HeatPaxx® warmers is hardly noticeable anymore, these warmers still represent the "icing on the cake" in terms of temperature development and wearing comfort.
What else should you know about HeatPaxx® activated charcoal warmers:
- Activated charcoal warmers are single-use products that can be safely disposed of in household waste after use.
- HeatPaxx warmers generate heat solely from their natural ingredients.
- Please read the usage instructions on the packaging carefully. For example, you should not cut open the warmers, as this can cause the activated charcoal mixture to escape. Also, you should not apply the warmers directly to the skin, as low-temperature burns could occur despite the relatively low temperatures.
- Records of activated charcoal warmers at the U.S. Patent Office date back to 1924. At that time, the warmer powder was distributed to soldiers in metal canisters, who then triggered the oxidation process by adding water, generating heat. Over the years, the product design and oxidation process were further developed, and the first warmers in today's design were produced in Japan in 1978. By 1988, 450 million warmers had already been produced, and the product has since become an integral part of daily life in Japan. With the founding of Thermopad and HeatPaxx®, activated charcoal warmers were also introduced and established in the German market.

How do our cooling vests and cooling accessories actually work?
Our cooling products use the innovative and surprisingly simple principle of evaporative cooling. Inside our cooling vests, cooling wristbands, and other cooling accessories are super-absorbent polymers (HydroQuartz, HydroX), which transform into a liquid-storing hydrogel after water is added. The stored water gradually evaporates, extracting heat from the surroundings: evaporative cooling. The effect is long-lasting (up to 2 days) and efficient (10°C below ambient temperature).

-
The cooling vests and cooling accessories can be reactivated at any time by adding water.
-
The cooling products have an extremely wide range of applications and have proven their worth in many areas. Popular applications include: in professional life (outdoor agencies, landscaping, road construction, metal processing), in recreational and competitive sports, for alleviating the Uthoff syndrome in multiple sclerosis patients, as well as for individuals who experience physical problems due to high temperatures.
An important note:
Once activated, products cannot be exchanged! Activate the products only if you agree with this. Please check the sizes specified on the product pages of the cooling vests and cooling accessories before ordering. Please test the fit after receipt first in the non-activated state.
